Dr Carere was born and raised in Kitchener-Waterloo; after graduating from high school, he pursued his studies at the University of Western Ontario in London where he graduated with an Honours Degree in Physiology and Pharmacology.
Then, he attended McGill University in Montreal where he received his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS) in 1990. To further develop his knowledge of dentistry, Dr Carere took a general practice residency at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal where he perfected his surgical skills for wisdom teeth, grafts, and root canals.
Dr Carere has been at Casselman Dental Clinic since 1994; although he enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, he is particularly interested in root canals, crowns, implants and wisdom teeth.
He lives in Orléans with his lovely wife, Dr Nathalie Teboul, a prominent ophtalmologist, and their three children, Shawn, Alex and Olivia. A devoted family man, Dr Carere still finds time to alpine ski, to swim, to jog, to train regularly and to run marathons.
Dr Jim, as he is called at the office, is fluent in English and French and is an active member of the Canadian Dental Association, the Ontario Dental Association, The Ordre des dentistes du Québec and of course a member in good standing of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario.
